Working primarily in acrylic and oil I enjoy creating artwork inspired by those around me and my love of nostalgia.
The original painting for these prints was my VERY FIRST oil painting. It was incredibly challenging adjusting to a new medium! In the end I am thrilled with the results.
I used techniques like the old masters laying down a dark background and subtracting out the lightest areas. After allowing it to dry, I layered colored glazes of paint over the dark. While paint was still wet I began adding in the opaque color. Last came the brightest highlights.
I truly hope you receive as much enjoyment from this piece as I did creating it.
